Breakfast foods are delicious, fast, affordable and can even be healthy.  So, there’s no guilt in having it twice in one day. That’s why we’re such strong advocates for the second breakfast, and it’s why we’re sharing these five benefits of eating breakfast for dinner with you:

Breakfast is meant to be quick and easy.  After all, it’s called break-fast for a reason, right?  For those late nights coming home when you don’t feel like spending much time in the kitchen, breakfast is the perfect go-to meal.  Whether you just whip up some eggs, cereal, or even French toast, a good breakfast meal can be put together in a matter of minutes freeing you of the stress of cooking and giving you more time to relax.

The misconception about breakfast foods is that they’re mostly unhealthy – just pancakes and syrup, sugar on top of sugar.  This simply doesn’t have to be the case. Breakfast can be a very healthy meal and a lighter alternative to the traditional larger dinner meals you might make any other night of the week.  For example, you can combine the protein that’s packed into eggs with the healthy fats in avocados and make a very beneficial meal. Similarly, if you’re craving something with more sweetness, try some whole grain pancakes topped with honey and fresh fruits.

Finally, whether for breakfast, brunch, or brinner, breakfast, in our opinion, is the best meal of the day!  Plus, it’s considered to be the most important meal of the day, so why not enjoy it twice?
